The date is Sunday August 25th 2013 and the time is 805pm and Erick Morillo is gearing up for a closing set inside the All Gone Pete Tong tent at SW4 where the revelers will be treated to a fire blasting finale that will go down as one of SW4s finest endings to their festivals in the tenth year on Clapham Common, London.
Kelly dropped down for a quick backstage interview with Subliminal Records Maestro…
How ya doing?
I’m doing amazing, feeling great it’s a beautiful day and we’ve got the sunshine today and i’m very excited to be here in London.
Thank god it’s sunny!
So you must be pretty pumped right now as your on in 10 mins?
Absolutely, i’m playing after Pete [Tong] and i’m closing the All Gone Pete Tong Stage and it’s always special closing a stage because at the end you can venture out there and play any record you want, it’s amazing but unfortunately i’m only playing for an hour and fifty minutes.
What is wrong with these festival set times?
There should just be an Erick Morillo Festival and you play all day?
Well I don’t know about that but last year we got to do a Subliminal Tent and I got to say how long I played for and I think I did a 3 hour set last year and that was awesome, but you know, playing festivals is always special because you get to play your big sets for the big festival crowd and I always love it regardless of set times whether it’s 30 minutes, 60 minutes or two hours, i’m happy to be here.
